Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson wide receiver Ryan Peppins flipped Tuesday from Western Kentucky to Utah.

He is ranked as a three-star recruit by On3.

“I’m so thankful for every single college that offered and showed interest in me. Special thanks to (Western Kentucky running backs coach Carlos Locklyn) for being a true example of what a recruiter should be. I woulld always the upmost admiration for you,” Peppins tweeted.

He becomes the ninth commit in the Utes class, joining Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton four-star linebacker Lander Barton, Clovis (Calif.) four-star quarterback Nate Johnson, Park City (Utah) three-star athlete Carson Tabaracci, Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson three-star running back Jaylon Glover, Murrieta (Calif.) Murrieta Valley three-star quarterback Brandon Rose, Mililani (Hawaii) three-star offensive tackle Tavo Motuapuaka and Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva wide receiver Chris Reed.

Peppins’ commitment comes on the same day Richmond (Texas) George Ranch three-star safety Jeffrey Ugo decommitted from the Utes.

Ugo is the No. 1068 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
