2024 WR Quimari Shemwell flips commitment from Arizona to Utah

Los Angeles Poly three-star wide receiver Quimari Shemwell has announced that he has flipped his commitment from Arizona to the Utah Utes.

Shemwell originally committed to Arizona on October 17.

He is the nation’s No. 1,474 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Shemwell is the cycle’s No. 201 wide receiver and No. 112 recruit from California.

Shemwell does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Utah currently ranks outside the top 50 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon teammates Isaiah Garcia — a four-star interior offensive lineman — and Isaac Wilson — a four-star quarterback — currently headline the class.
