The hype surrounding Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star quarterback Isaac Wilson is natural. The younger brother of current New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is no stranger to seeing his bloodline in the spotlight.

As Isaac seeks to lead Corner Canyon to a state championship, the Utah Utes commit continues to look more and more impressive by the week. That was no different on Friday night, when he erupted for six touchdowns in the first half of what turned in to a 56-14 blowout of Herriman (Utah) Mountain Ridge.

Wilson completed 22 of 28 passing attempts for 370 yards. He found pay dirt through the air and on the ground, and was rewarded for his efforts, as his team entered the locker room up 49-7 at halftime.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is dominating his competition this season. In six games, he’s completed 123 passes for 2,260 yards and 23 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions. He’s also accumulated 404 yards rushing and six scores. Corner Canyon is 5-1, with its lone loss coming to national powerhouse Las Vegas Bishop Gorman in a 63-42 shootout.

Wilson committed to Utah on May 24. He is the No. 338 overall prospect and No. 21 QB in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is one of 10 pledges in the Utes’ class, which ranks No. 51 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

“I felt it in my gut, my head, my mind and my heart and I knew they were the school for me,” Wilson told On3 in June. “I love Coach (Andy) Ludwig and Coach (Kyle) Whittingham. They’re great guys. It was a perfect opportunity for me. Then, we got the check off from Zach. He got to come over and check out the offense.”

Wilson was one of 20 QBs selected to compete at the 2023 Elite 11 Finals in June. He earned praise for his accuracy after the first day of the three-day event.

“Utah commit Isaac Wilson has a clean and concise delivery. His ability to get the football up and out is among the quickest at the Elite 11 Finals. He makes up for his lack of arm strength with a speedy release and he was one of the more consistently accurate passers on Day 1 of the Elite 11 Finals.”
