Fairfield (Calif.) Armijo three-star interior offensive lineman Jericho Johnson received an offer from Utah on Wednesday night. He announced the news over social media.

Johnson is the No. 343 overall prospect and No. 24 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 29 player in California.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound prospect has received eight offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between Oregon (46.1%) and Washington (40.3%) for his commitment.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Utes have one commit in their 2024 recruiting class. Orange (Calif.) three-star running back Kobe Boykin chose the program on Feb. 4.

Meanwhile, Utah’s 2023 class is No. 50 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 6 in the Pac-12. Corona (Calif.) Centennial three-star linebacker Owen Chambliss, the No. 467 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus, is the highest-rated recruit in the Utes’ group.
