Nashville (Tenn.) Davidson Academy interior offensive lineman Glenn Seabrooks has announced his commitment to Vanderbilt. He chose the Commodores over Georgia Tech and Purdue among others.

Seabrooks is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking or the 2024 On300. He is 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds.

“It is with great pleasure that I announce I will be continuing my education and playing football at Vanderbilt University,” Seabrooks wrote in a statement published to Twitter. “I thank God for this wonderful opportunity. #AnchorDown!!!!”

Vanderbilt’s 2024 recruiting class now contains four players. It includes Seabrooks, Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School three-star quarterback Jeremy St. Hilaire, Columbia (S.C.) Baylor School three-star quarterback Whit Muschamp and Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian three-star EDGE Callahan Blair.

Following Seabrooks’ commitment, the Commodores’ group now ranks No. 41 in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 12 in the SEC. Both of Vanderbilt’s quarterback commits are ranked in the top-1,000 of the On3 Industry Ranking. Meanwhile, Blair is the No. 1,073 player in the country.

Last cycle, Vanderbilt’s 2023 recruiting class finished No. 55 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 14 in the SEC. It contains one interior offensive lineman in Girard (Ill.) three-star Cooper Starks.

Vanderbilt is hoping to land more talented prospects this cycle

As Clark Lea continues his tenure in Nashville, Vanderbilt is looking to land skilled players from across the country. One of them is Honolulu (Hi.) St. Louis three-star EDGE Anelu Lafaele, who visited the Commodores on March 15.

“It was awesome,” Lafaele told On3 on March 24. “Coach (Jovan) Haye was the guy showing me everything. We took a ride in his golf cart, saw the whole campus. The campus was awesome. He was really just talking to me. He put up my film and his players’ film and showed me similarities and told me that I could play here early and not sit on the bench.”

Nashville (Tenn.) CPA three-star athlete Ondre Evans is another Vanderbilt target this cycle.

“I like Vanderbilt and it’s a good school,” Evans told On3 on March 24. “The coaches are great and knowing a lot of the players on the team really has me interested in them. It’s a comfortable spot that’s already at home.

“I like that Coach Lea has really made an emphasis on recruiting guys out of the Nashville area since he got there. He’s a really good coach and I like that he’s recruiting the in-state kids first as a priority.”
