Virginia Beach (Va.) Green Run three-star wide receiver Jayden Anderson has committed to Virginia Tech.

He chose the Hokies over Tennessee, Maryland, Auburn, South Carolina and West Virginia.

Anderson is the No. 472 overall prospect and No. 74 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 16 player in Virginia.

The 6-foot, 162-pounder visited Blacksburg at the end of January ahead of his decision. The Hokies offered him back in September 2022 and have now added their third commitment in the 2025 cycle, as he joins Christiansburg (Va.) three-star offensive tackle Carter Stallard and and Keller (Texas) DeSoto three-star quarterback Kelden Ryan.

Hokies looking to build off improved 2024 recruiting class

For the first time since the 2019, Va Tech finished with a recruiting class ranked inside the top 40 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Hokies signed 16 prospects in the 2024 cycle, compiling the No. 31 class in the nation.

Headlining the class is Washington (D.C.) St. Vincent Pallotti four-star linebacker Gabriel Williams, the No. 219 overall recruit and No. 19 LB in the cycle. Virginia Beach Green Run WR Keylen Adams flanks as the other blue-chipper in the mix for Brent Pry and Co.

Other top commits in the class include Virginia Beach native and JUCO three-star defensive lineman Kemari Copeland, Charlotte Independence three-star safety Quentin Reddish, King George (Va.) three-star WR Chanz Wiggins and Virginia Beach Frank W. Cox three-star EDGE Gerard Johnson.

Va Tech’s class also ranks No. 6 in the ACC, finishing ahead of the likes of Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Stanford, Louisville and California.
