Jacksonville (Fla.) Atlantic Coast three-star EDGE Camden Hardy announced his commitment to Wake Forest on Tuesday. He chose the Demon Deacons over offers from Duke and Illinois among others.

Hardy is the No. 624 overall prospect and No. 38 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 92 player in Florida.

“First off, I would like to thank God for putting me in the situation to be able to make a decision like this,” Hardy wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “…Lastly I want to thank all my coaches, from the T-ball and flag football days, all the way to the Friday Night Lights. With all that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be furthering my football and academic career at Wake Forest University. Go Deacs!”

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound pass rusher has taken two visits to Wake Forest and was most recently in Winston-Salem on Nov. 12. He is now the third member of the Demon Deacons’ 2024 recruiting class, alongside Marietta (Ga.) Walton On3 three-star quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski and Clearwater (Fla.) Clearwater Central Catholic On3 three-star wide receiver Andy Jaffe.

Hardy has an On3 NIL Valuation of $17.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
