Henderson (Nevada) Liberty three-star wide receiver Landon Bell has decommitted from the Washington Huskies. He announced the news on Twitter.

Bell had been committed to the Huskies since Sept. 18, 2022.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is the No. 633 overall prospect and No. 98 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Nevada.

“First and foremost I would like to thank God, my family, friends and others that have assisted me along this football journey,” Bell tweeted. “It has and is taking me to great places. One being The University of Washington. I have nothing but love and respect for the UW coaching staff. They have been like a second family to me. Thank you for the great opportunity!

“With that being said I would like to announce that I am no longer committed to UW. My recruitment is now 100 percent fully open!!!”

Bell’s decision comes just under a week after he took an official visit to Arizona. He’s scheduled to take an official still to Washington on June 17.

The decommitment leaves Washington with one pledge in its 2024 class. Hesperia (Calif.) Oak Hills four-star interior offensive lineman Paki Finau committed to Washington on May 8.

Washington’s 2024 class is currently unranked. The Huskies finished the 2023 recruiting cycle finished with 21 signees, the No. 26 class in the country and No. 4 in the Pac-12.

Bell currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $23K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
