West Virginia linebacker James Heard enters NCAA Transfer Portal
West Virginia linebacker James Heard is officially in the Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He was a true freshman during the 2023 season and his position is actually listed as “BANDIT” on the WVU athletics website.
Whether he’s a BANDIT, linebacker, defensive lineman or EDGE rusher, Heard was a three-star recruit in the 2023 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings, and played high school football at St. Joseph’s Prep in Voorhees, New Jersey. On3 also rated him as the No. 623 overall player and pegged him as a linebacker, the No. 66 overall LB in his class, in fact.
