Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson was held out of a joint practice with the Dolphins on Wednesday, according to Chris Emma of 670 The Score.

The star wide receiver has been dealing with a hamstring issue, according to Chicago Bears’ reporters. No other details were shared with regards to the timetable of recovery or the severity of the injury.

Robinson has proven himself to be one of the most quarterback-proof receivers in the National Football League. No matter who is back there playing quarterback, Robinson has found a way to get the job done and at an incredibly high level.

Over the past two seasons, the former Penn State product has hauled in 200 receptions for 2,397 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2020, he had 102 catches for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns.

He’s established himself as one of the elite receivers in the National Football League, so if he misses much time, it’d be a massive blow to the Chicago Bears’ 2021 season.

HOW WILL THE BEARS OFFENSE LOOK IN 2021?

This is a question that many fans are anxiously awaiting to be answered in 2021, because a lot of it hinges on who the quarterback is in Chicago, Andy Dalton or top-11 draft pick Justin Fields.

Speaking of Fields, it sounds like he will get some preseason reps very soon, according to Chicago head coach Matt Nagy.

The former Ohio State quarterback has been drawing lots of buzz and rave reviews early in fall camp. It’ll be very interesting to see how well Fields plays in the pre-season.

ALLEN ROBINSON II NFL CAREER

The 6’2, 220-pound wideout has long been one of the more underrated receivers in the National Football League. In seven seasons in the NFL, he’s hauled in over 1,000 receiving yards in nearly half of them (three seasons). In his last two seasons with the Bears, he’s hauled in over 1,000 receiving yards in each season. He’s been consistent in his production, despite subpar quarterback play for most of his NFL career.

ALLEN ROBINSON II PENN STATE CAREER

Allen Robinson II was one of the best receivers in Penn State football history. He earned second-team All-American honors from Phil Steele for his work during the 2013 season. In 2013, he hauled in 97 catches for 1,432 yards, while bringing in six touchdowns. His performance against Indiana in 2012, hauling in 197 receiving yards, is still one of the top 10 performances in Penn State football history.
