No one’s draft stock was improved more at the NFL Combine than former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. With eye-popping measurables, Richardson could go as high as No. 1 overall in the upcoming NFL Draft — most would be surprised if he fell out of the top 10.

Ahead of the draft, Richardson revealed his pitch to NFL teams when they ask him what type of player, and person, they’re about to draft with their first-round pick.

“They’re definetely going to get a hard-working guy. A lot of people still say I have a lot of things to fix and work on, but I’m willing to do anything [for a team] that picks me up,” Richardson told Rich Eisen. “I’m willing to work hard, be in there early mornings, late night, whenever I need to be. I will be the best version of myself so I can provide to the team in any way, shape and form that I can.”

Richardson raised plenty of eyebrows at the NFL Combine when he recorded a 40.5″ in the vertical jump, which set a new record for quarterbacks. That came after the 6-foot-4, 244-pound former Gators quarterback turned in a 10’9″ broad jump and ran a 4.44 40-yard dash.

His performance at the combine adds to the excitement about his potential in the league. This past year, he proved he can be an effective dual-threat with 2,549 passing yards, 654 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns.

It’s safe to say his performance Saturday has set the new standard for mobile quarterbacks in the NFL Combine. Now, we just have to wait and find out which team Anthony Richardson will fall to when the 2023 NFL Draft comes along on April 27th through the 29th in Kansas City.
