Golden State Warriors shooting guard Buddy Hield showed up in the wrong uniform to begin Tuesday night’s Game 1 of a Western Conference semifinals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hield, who started the game, somehow walked onto the court wearing a pair of shorts that did not match the rest of the Warriors.

The Timberwolves pointed this out to officials, who called a delay of game warning on Hield and made him go back to the locker room to change. Hield seemed to take it in stride, simply laughing it off. You can view the unusual yet hilarious moment below.

Hield is coming off of an incredible performance in Game 7 of a first round series against the Houston Rockets, lifting the Warriors to a 103-89 victory. He finished with a game-high 33 points and tied the NBA record for most 3-pointers in a Game 7 with nine made triples.

Hield is in his first season with the Warriors after being acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason. He appeared in all 82 games to average 11.1 points per game while shooting 37% from 3-point range.

Hield started four of seven games in the first round series against Houston overall. He averaged 10.9 points while shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc, scoring in double figures three times.

The veteran wing will look to play a key part in Tuesday evening’s matchup now that he is finally dressed out in the correct uniform. He was 0-for-2 from the floor at the end of the first quarter with Golden State trailing 20-18.

Stephen Curry ruled out remainder of Game 1 with hamstring injury

The Warriors were dealt an unfortunate blow near the end of the first half as it was reported that star point guard Stephen Curry is out the remainder of Tuesday’s game with a left hamstring injury. Curry had 13 points in 13 minutes as Golden State held a 44-31 lead at halftime.

The loss of Curry means that the Warriors will need other such as Hield to step up as they aim to hang out to take the 1-0 series lead. They can then reevaluate where things stand with Curry’s injury ahead of Game 2.

Hield hit a pair of early 3-pointers to begin the second half to held Golden State extend its lead to 20 points. He’ll aim to remain hot to close things out.
