When Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons left Sunday’s game against Minnesota with a knee injury, it seemed as if he were likely done for the day. Dallas led the Vikings 37-3 in the fourth quarter at the time, and it didn’t seem worth the risk to bring Parsons back.

However, Parsons returned to the game moments later, causing many to question the Cowboys’ injury management skills. Adding to the puzzling decision was the fact that Dallas is scheduled to play again in just four days on Thanksgiving.

Either way, Parsons has been a force for the Cowboys this game, with a pair of sacks and four tackles. Dallas finished with seven sacks as a team in an eventual 40-3 victory against Minnesota.

The Cowboys defense was fantastic all afternoon, shutting out the Vikings over the final three quarters. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins was held to just 105 yards passing on 12-of-23 passing.

The win improved Dallas to 7-3 on the season, and it will now get ready to face the New York Giants, who are also 7-3, in a pivotal NFC East matchup on Thanksgiving Day. They will hope Micah Parsons, who leads Dallas with eight sacks, can heal up from his knee injury in time to be 100% for that one.

Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, respond to tweet from Odell Beckham

The rumors that Odell Beckham may soon join the Dallas Cowboys are heating up, and Beckham himself added more fuel to the fire with a tweet Sunday evening. After the Cowboys dominated Minnesota for a 40-3 victory to hand the Vikings their second loss of the season, Beckham let the country know he was paying attention.

“They went krazy today,” the free agent receiver tweeted.

Beckham’s social media message prompted responses from a couple of Cowboys defenders in linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, both of whom encouraged him to come to Dallas.

“Come on then!” Parsons responded in a quote tweet.

“They sure did,” Lawrence added. “Make the right decision.”

Sunday’s Twitter recruitment of Odell Beckham occurred after it was reported that he has meetings scheduled with both the Cowboys and New York Giants. Both the Giants (7-3) and Cowboys (7-3) are both in playoff contention at this point of the season and tied for second place in the NFC East.
