Dak Prescott plays for the Dallas Cowboys and is naturally a likable guy, no matter where your NFL fandom lies.

Prescott’s story — from getting drafted in the fourth round to claim the starting job, to the adversity he has faced, and his genuine, authentic personality — has given the former Mississippi State quarterback a wide-ranging fan base.

Apparently, there is on small fan who loves Prescott more than anyone on earth. That would be starting cornerback Trevon Diggs son, Aaiden.

“Imma train for Dak Prescott” the young Diggs says. “He’s my favorite quarterback in my whole entire world.”

We don’t really know what the little man means when he said he’s going to train for the Cowboys quarterback, but it sounds serious. The next line, and ensuing interaction, makes the whole clip.

“I want his phone number,” the younger Diggs says.

Then, the door of the establishment they are at swings open. In walks Dak Prescott, himself.

Here’s the full clip, but we break down the whole interaction below as well.

Dak Prescott meets his biggest fan, son of Cowboys’ cornerback Trevon Diggs

“Look who it is,” Trevon Diggs says to his son.

Prescott introduces himself to his tiny fan.

“What’s up big man? How are you doing? What’s your name?

And then the best line, by far, of this whole thing comes out so calmly and effortlessly from the younger Diggs, who can’t be more than 5 or 6.

“Aaidan, mhmm, so you’re Patrick Mahomes?

Everyone there begins laughing.

“You think I’m Patrick Mahomes, still? What jersey do you have on?” Prescott says to his biggest fan.

While clearly amazed, the Cowboys’ star cornerback’s son immediately catches his mistake and corrects himself.

“I mean, not Patrick Mahomes, you’re Dak Prescott?”

“Yeah,” the Cowboys’ franchise signal caller responds.

Suddenly, like a grown man in a business meeting, the young man extends his hand and hits his hero with the ultra-professional, “so, it’s good to see you.”

“You can’t keep getting me and Mahomes confused, Pat’s got the hair.”

The young man, in awe at this point, once again reiterates his professional point.

“So, Dak Prescott, it’s good to see you.”

There were so many heartwarming and hilarious moments during this exchange, but the best part? Diggs’ son continued to use the full name of “Dak Prescott” when talking about him and to him.

The full and final episode of Hardknocks will be available on HBO on Tuesday night at 10 p.m ET.
