Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones joined 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday after NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr.‘s very public visit to the DFW Metroplex on Monday. Jones said he “enjoyed every minute” of the former Giant’s trip, which included “extensive meetings,”

“We had pretty extensive meetings,” Jones said, via Jon Machota. “We spent quite a bit of time together. I enjoyed every minute of it. We’ll get back together today and see where we go from here. A lot of variables. It has to fit for both parties.”

“By no means are we in a position to say how close or where we are,” Jones added. “We’re just discussing the many options that are there.”

The Cowboys were the third stop on Beckham’s list after meeting with the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants last week. On Monday night, the star receiver took in the Dallas Mavericks game versus the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center.

Beckham took in the 130-111 Mavs win alongside the Cowboys’ top two defensive players — Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons.

The free agent wasn’t in a hurry to reveal whether Monday’s meetings yielded results.

“Just went and grabbed some food. That’s all. Everything is nice,” Beckham told Machota of the Mavs game festivities. “I plead the fifth on everything else.”

Also part of the visit was a health checkup at the Star facility with head athletic trainer Jim Maurer and director of rehabilitation Britt Brown.

The 30-year-old receiver is coming back from a second ACL tear in the past two seasons, leaving many to wonder how healthy he currently is.

Despite health concerns, the Cowboys remain clear about their goal with Beckham. They want to add him as a Super Bowl piece and weapon for Dak Prescott.

Dallas’ offense has been good already over the past six games since Prescott returned from injury. The defense has been giving the offense extra chances as well. Dallas is now averaging 37.2 points per game over the past six games. They’re outscoring opponents by an average of 19.2 points.
