Micah Parsons has become the face of the Dallas Cowboys since stepping into the league. First excelling as a linebacker, Parsons has now switched to rushing the passer full-time. Defensive Player of the Year discussions have been there and with that comes becoming a fan favorite in the Metroplex.

In fact, Parsons’ No. 11 jersey is one of the top-selling across the entire NFL. However, he could be looking for some kind of change thanks to the league’s updated rules. Players can now wear the No. 0 and Parsons seems interested in the idea.

“I’m switching!! Agent 0 coming soon!”

Now, players are switching jersey numbers all the time. Especially as the NFL has been more relaxed about what certain positions could wear. But if somebody with a high-selling jersey such as Parsons were to change, chaos could ensue.

Most likely, Parsons is just playing around on Twitter as he usually does. Fellow Cowboys teammate Jayron Kearse got in on the action as well, saying the number is already taken. Kearse himself wants to be Agent 0 for Dallas beginning next season.

More likely than not, Parsons will continue to wear No. 11. He has become one of the staples the NFL has to offer, and seeing a giant such as him change his number would cause for a massive headache. From a retail standpoint and from an overall marketing one as well.

Cavlin Ridley becomes first player to wear No. 0

While Parsons was on Twitter most likely speculating, Calvin Ridley took no time to make the news official. The new Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver was the first across the NFL to announce he will wear No. 0. Ridley even had graphics ready to go for the occasion and has been hyping up the move ever since.

“Excited to be the first Jaguars player to wear zero,” Ridley tweeted out. “Shout out to (Jaguars Equipment)!”

Prior to Tuesday, Ridley has never worn a single-digit number let alone 0. The former Alabama product sported No. 13 during his time with the Atlanta Falcons. And while he was technically suspended last season, Ridley had the same temporary number with Jacksonville.

There surely will be more to follow Ridley in the near future. College football players have not been shying away from the number since the NCAA changed its own rules. Different positions can wear them as well as we are likely to have multiple No. 0s on the field at the same time moving forward.
