Former Alabama offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman signs with new NFL team

The Carolina Panthers continue to build up their offensive line this offseason and on Friday afternoon, they added yet another critical piece, former Baltimore Ravens center Bradley Bozeman. He started 48 games in the last three seasons for the Ravens. The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout played left guard during the 2019 and 2020 seasons, but switched to center in 2021. The 6-foot-5, 325-pounder will help to add plenty of size of versatility to the Carolina Panthers offensive line.

Carolina has been making a big push to improve their offensive line this offseason. In addition to bringing in Bozeman, they just signed former LA Rams right guard Austin Corbett. They key question for the Panthers moving forward is what their backfield will look like during the 2022-2023 season. They’ve been shopping Christian McCaffrey around and recently signed former Tennessee Titans running back D’Onta Foreman. Former Oklahoma State star Chuba Hubbard looked really good last year, too. He racked up over 600 rushing yards and over 170 receiving yards, while scoring six total touchdowns during his rookie season.

Bradley Bozeman had a highly decorated college career

While suiting up for Alabama in college, Bozeman established himself as one of the nation’s premiere offensive linemen, earning unanimous second team All-American honors by all five major media outlets. The gifted offensive lineman allowed just two sacks all season and only four pressures as a senior. He finished off his second season as the team’s starting center in helping lead the team to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship victory. Bozeman was the leader for an Alabama offensive line that ranked second in the SEC and 13th nationally in rushing yardage with 250.6 yards per game. As a senior, he graded out at an average of 86.2 percent with 19 knockdown blocks and just eight missed assignments in 866 snaps.

As a junior, Bozeman earned the starting job at center and started all 15 games for the Crimson Tide. That season, Alabama ranked second in the SEC and 12th nationally in rushing offense (245 yards per game).
