There are plenty of top freshmen across the country who are grabbing headlines early in the college basketball season. One is Michigan‘s Jett Howard, making his debut on Monday night against Purdue Fort Wayne. In just his first game, Howard was able to show exactly the type of player he will be under his head coach and father, Juwan Howard.

A sequence late in the second half best displayed Howard’s ability. On one end, he was able to hit a three early in the shot clock, extending a double-digit lead for the Wolverines. Just a few seconds later, he was near the rim on the defensive end, sending a shot deep into the crowd.
