The Green Bay Packers announced on Friday the hiring of Jason Rebrovich, who will serve as the Packers’ outside linebackers coach.

Rebrovich, an experienced NFL assistant, spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he served as the defensive line coach. His title as defensive line coach came after promotion, as he spent 2017 and 2018 as the assistant defensive line coach.

In 2019, Rebrovich helped develop seventh-overall NFL Draft pick Josh Allen, a defensive end that led all NFL rookies and broke the Jaguars’ single-season franchise record for rookies with 10.5 sacks. Allen was then named to the NFL’s All-Rookie team by the PFWA. In Jacksonville, Rebrovich also helped the development of stars Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue.

Rebrovich comes to Green Bay with roughly 20 years of coaching experience. Prior to his time with the Jaguars, he spent four seasons wih the Buffalo Bills in various positions; Rebrovich, from 2013 until 2016, served as the Bills’ defensive quality control coahc, then assistant defensive line coach, before his promotion to outside linebackers coach, and lastly to defensive line coach.

Before he got his first NFL job with the Buffalo Bills in 2013, Rebrovich held defensive coaching roles with Syracuse, SUNY Cortland and more.

Green Bay Packers officially announce new quarterbacks coach

The Green Bay Packers made it official. Tom Clements is coming back.

Green Bay is bringing Clements aboard as quarterbacks coach — a role he previously held with the team from 2012-14, the Packers announced Friday. It’s a reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who still hasn’t publicly decided if he’ll return to the Packers next season.

Clements last worked in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-20 before retiring. Green Bay is bringing him out of retirement to replace Luke Getsy, who left to become the Chicago Bears’ offensive coordinator.

The Packers are seeing plenty of turnover on the coaching staff, including at offensive coordinator. Nathaniel Hackett left for Denver to become the Broncos head coach, and offensive line coach Adam Stenavich moved up to replace him.

After leaving Green Bay in 2016, he took a break from coaching before taking over as the Arizona Cardinals’ passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2019-20. Now, he’s heading back to Green Bay, where he’ll work with Rodgers again. At least, Packers fans hope he will.

Rodgers still hasn’t made a decision about his future in football. He famously held out last offseason and many wondered if he’d play another game in a Packers uniform. He did, and ended up winning his fourth MVP award in 2021. Bringing Clements back could be part of Green Bay’s plan to keep him in town, especially considering they worked together for most of Rodgers’ career.
