Ahead of their matchup with the Chicago Bears this week, the Green Bay Packers have made their injury report available from Wednesday’s practice. The Packers are coming off of their bye week, and the biggest news so far is the return of cornerback Jaire Alexander to running drills on the practice field. While he is not back from injured reserve yet, it was his first field action since suffering his shoulder injury in week 4.

Packers vs Bears injury report

Did Not Practice – Packers: T David Bakhtiari(Knee), QB Aaron Rodgers(Toe), WR Randall Cobb(Core)

While Rodgers hasn’t missed any time with his toe injury, the extra bye week will certainly be a boost to his recovery. The injury is “painful” according to Rodgers, but hasn’t seemed to make him miss any throws as the Packers continue to win games.

In great news for the Packers a few weeks ago, Bakhtiari was activated to the roster from his ACL tear suffered nearly ten months ago. Although he is still being kept out from practice, his presence around the team in a helmet has been a boost for sure. Bakhtiari’s return will be a “day-to-day process” according to the team.

Getting Bakhtiari back would be huge for Green Bay’s offensive line. Last year, before his injury, he was a huge reason why the Packers allowed just 21 sacks — a mark that ranked second in the NFL.

Randall Cobb was out from practice as well on Wednesday as he recovers from a core injury. His status will certainly be one to watch as the week moves on.

Limited Participation – Packers: WR Davante Adams(Hamstring), CB Kevin King(Hip/Knee), WR Malik Taylor(Abdomen)

Davante Adams continues to be listed on the injury report, but this week it is for a hamstring injury that limited him on Wednesday. Before the bye week, his last listed injury was to his ankle.

Kevin King returns to the injury list with a hip and knee injury, but the Packers are still expecting him to be ready by game time. Malik Taylor is also dealing with an injury to his abdomen, but unlike Cobb he was available in a limited capacity in practice.

Did Not Practice – Bears: QB Andy Dalton(Hand), LB Trevis Gipson(Illness), TE Jimmy Graham(NIR/Resting Vet), RB David Montgomery(Shoulder/Groin/Glute), K Cairo Santos(Illness)

Limited Participation – Bears: DE Mario Edwards Jr.(Ribs), WR Marquis Goodwin(Foot), DT Akiem Hicks(Ankle), LB Christian Jones(Back), WR Allen Robinson II(Hamstring), RB Damien Williams(Calf)

Full Participation – Bears: QB Justin Fields(Ribs)

Plagued with injuries, the Bears have their biggest upcoming decision with their starting quarterback. Justin Fields was cleared to return after suffering an injury to his ribs, and the Bears expect to start him as of now. Adding to their decision, Andy Dalton was out on Wednesday with an injury to his left hand.

Montgomery is dealing with a multitude of injuries that kept him out as well, and his status will be unknown until closer to game day.

Marquis Goodwin and Allen Robinson II are both suffering from injuries to their legs, causing additional potential problems for Fields this week.
