Aaron Rodgers is no stranger to offseason speculation. However, what he said immediately after Green Bay’s 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions, a loss that knocked him and his teammates out of the playoff picture, will have the rumor mills moving a lot earlier than normal.

After the defeat, it appears rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams from the Lions comes up and asks Rodgers for his jersey. Rather than give it to the young wideout, Rodgers got caught on a mic saying he’s ‘gonna hold on to this one’.

At the end of the day, this could very well be nothing. With that said, considering Rodgers is 39 years old and just finished his 18th season in the NFL, could it be possible he wanted to keep it as the final game-worn jersey of his career? With the Packer’s offseason now officially underway, it’s now a wait-and-see game about whether or not Rodgers will be back for Year 19 in Lambeau later on in 2023.

NFL releases Wild Card Round playoff schedule

The NFL has released their schedule for the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, with games kicking off on Saturday and finishing on Monday night. As the No. 1 seeds in their respective conferences, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have a bye week and will play the lowest-seeded Wild Card Round winner in the Divisional Round the following week.

With the Green Bay Packers losing to the Detroit Lions in the final game of the regular season on Sunday night, the field of 14 teams were set after a wild end to the regular season with the Seattle Seahawks advancing as the No. 7 seed in the NFC.
