Jarvis Landry inked a new deal to come back home and sign with the New Orleans Saints on Friday and one NFL insider has now revealed the terms of the contract.

“For Jarvis Landry and the #Saints, it’s expected to be a one-year deal worth up to $6 million,” Tom Pelissero reported on NFL Network Friday Night. “A chance to go home, show he’s healthy and get back to the market next March, when Landry will be 30.”

Jarvis Landry signs with New Orleans Saints

Earlier on Friday,  Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, wide receiver Jarvis Landry has signed a one-year deal with his hometown New Orleans Saints. After spending the past four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Landry will be playing for his third career team in the NFL.

Landry had a career-low in production last season, only catching 52 passes for 570 yards. Disagreements with the Browns franchise led to him being released and free to sign with whatever team he pleased for the 2022 season. Now, Landry will be heading back to his home state of Louisiana after also playing his college football there.

A former On3 Consensus five-star prospect, Jarvis Landry signed with the LSU Tigers coming out of high school. He spent three seasons in Baton Rouge before declaring for the NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins selected Landry No. 63 overall in the second round where he instantly become one of the league’s best. After a down season, the hope is that being back in Louisiana will bring the best out of Landry.

The Saints have worked hard to address their wide receiver problems this offseason, drafting Chris Olave in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After Michael Thomas did not see the field last season either, he is expected to return to the field this year. A combination of Landry, Olave, and Thomas could possibly create one of the top units across the entire NFL for first-year head coach Dennis Allen.
