The Green Bay Packers made the trip overseas to London for their Sunday game against the New York Giants. They’ll play in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London–making it the first time the Green Bay Packers have played in the NFL’s London series. They are the only NFL team that has not yet played in London, but that changes this weekend. While they were there, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his receiver, Allen Lazard, decided to support the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

Check it out.

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team is taking on England on Friday night. Both teams are unbeaten after winning continental titles. The USWNT is currently the world’s top-ranked team. Alex Morgan is the leading scorer on the team, with 119 career goals during her prolific career with the squad.

Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard will see if they can get the Packers’ passing attack clicking this weekend. So far in the 2022 campaign, Rodgers’ favorite target has been former Nevada receiver Romeo Doubs. He leads all Green Bay receivers in targets and by a fairly significant margin with 24.

Lazard is currently second on the team in receiving yards (174) and he’s also hauled in two touchdowns. The Packers defense will have to figure out how to stop the only truly explosive option on the New York Giants roster, running back Saquon Barkley. He’s returned to form this season and he looks like the elite version of the superstar tailback the Giants picked with the No. 2 overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Rodgers has clearly been missing one of his all-time favorite targets, current Las Vegas Raider receiver Davante Adams. It makes perfect sense, since Adams is a future Hall-of-Famer and none of the current Packers receivers have anywhere near the amount of talent that he possesses at the position. The Green Bay front office opted to invest in two defensive selections in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, instead of a wide receiver.
