On Saturday afternoon, the football world was shaken by the tragic passing of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Today, many of his old teammates, both in college at Ohio State and across the NFL, penned tributes on social media. Two of his former NFL teammates penned touching tributes once they heard the news. Pittsburgh Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger decided to take a few moments and write a touching tribute.

Check out the tribute he posted to his Twitter page below. Roethlisberger not only shared some touching words to Haskins, but had a few words to say to his wife, Kalabrya.

His tribute to Haskins reads: “D-Hask, I only had the privilege to know D-Hask for a short time, but in that time I got to meet a young man that didn’t seem to ever have a bad day. He came to work everyday with a smile on his face and energy and love in his heart. I really enjoyed his passion and love for the game and wanting to learn and be the best. His smile and zeal for life will be missed! Wish we had more time together on this earth, but I will cherish the time and the laughs we had! I’ll say it again just like I told you to your face, I still wish I could throw the ball like you!! Love ya pal. 7. To his wife, Kalabrya, we want you to know we are praying for you and with you. We don’t understand why God does what he does but we have to trust and believe in his plan. You are an amazing woman of faith and we trust you will get through this. Love, Ben and Ashley.”

Then Haskins’ old teammate with the Washington Commanders, Case Keenum also posted a tribute. Keenum posted a picture of his old teammate with his son, Kyler.

Other teammates from Haskins’ career also penned tributes on Saturday, such as former Ohio State teammate Justin Fields.
