A lot has been said about Aaron Rodgers’ long mane since the Green Bay Packers star debuted the look for the 2021 season. As it turns out, the future Hall of Famer was just preparing for his Halloween look months in advance.

Rodgers, in his 16th season as a Packers quarterback, dressed up as Hollywood action hero John Wick. He even had a pitbull available to really sell the look:

John Wick, which already has two blockbuster hits in the series, has a third installment coming out in May of 2022.

Aaron Rodgers shared before the holiday that he was planning to use his hair as part of his Halloween costume this week. He said he was going as “somebody who is a hero of mine who has long-ish hair.”

Fox sideline reporter Erin Andrews commented on Rodgers’ Instagram post, “And then you cut it off tomorrow????”

We’ll have to wait until Aaron Rodgers gets back into the Packers’ practice facility on Monday to see if he got rid of the long locks post-Halloween.

Aaron Rodgers leading 7-1 Packers

The three-time NFL MVP can fully enjoy the Halloween festivities this year after picking up win No. 7 this year on Thursday night. Green Bay took down the Arizona Cardinals in a 24-21.

The 7-1 Packers have a steady lead in the NFC North. Behind them, the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have three wins apiece.

As for Rodgers, he’s having a great season for the Packers despite off-season drama. The vet has 1,894 passing yards through eight games with 17 touchdowns and three interceptions. Rodgers’ completion percentage at 67% is one of his best yet, following his 70% year last season that earned him another MVP award.

“This is a scrappy team,” Rodgers said after the Packers’ win on Thursday. “This is a tough, physical gritty team. I’m so proud of our guys.”

While there’s a long way to go in the 2021 NFL regular season, it’s clear that Aaron Rodgers, Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers put the entire league on notice pulling off one of the more improbable wins of the year so far.
