Michael Gallup suited up for the Cowboys for the first time in 2022, and he’s already making his impact on the season.

As Cooper Rush rolled right, looking towards the end zone on 3rd and 6, Gallup came free, hauling in his first touchdown of the season against the Washington Commanders. Check out the video below, as the veteran Dallas wide receiver couldn’t have been happier to get on the board.

Moreover, Gallup suffered a torn ACL at the tail-end of last season against the Arizona Cardinals, rehabbing his injury ever since. With the decision to trade Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson taking his talents to Miami, Gallup will play an even bigger role for Dallas in 2022.

Evidently, Michael Gallup is up to the task, already celebrating in the back of the end-zone. There’ll be more where that came from.

More on Dallas Cowboys, return of QB Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott could be nearing his grand return to the Dallas Cowboys lineup.

While the Cowboys haven’t lost since Prescott went out of the lineup, he’ll be welcomed back with open arms when the time comes. As Cowboys faithful wonders when they’ll see No. 4 back on the field, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed the realistic timetable for Prescott’s return.

“Dak Prescott would love to be back this week against the Commanders. … My understanding is a more realistic time frame for his return would be Oct. 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles,” stated Rapoport. “It is now about three weeks from surgery to repair that fractured thumb. It’s going well, but Prescott is still dealing with some swelling. He’s done some light throwing at practice, but hasn’t really thrown.

“From what I understand, he’s going to be reevaluated on Wednesday, to see if he can do some individual drills and throw. If he does, he’s got a shot. But the Eagles, Oct. 16, much more realistic.”

While Dak Prescott may want to be back on the field already, a Week 6 return is better than anyone could’ve imagined when he first went down.

The Cowboys have taken care of business without their quarterback in the lineup, and Prescott’s return to the lineup could propel them even further.
