Everything from Monday heading into this week’s NFL Draft was suggesting that Alabama QB Bryce Young was set to be the No. 1 pick by the Panthers. However, based on what took place overnight, there may be a new option for Carolina – Kentucky QB Will Levis.

Levis’ stock had seemingly picked up steam over the last few days to end up as the No. 2 pick by the Houston Texans. A post on Reddit last night, though, suggested Levis had been told he would be the Panther’s selection and the Wildcats quarterback was letting his inner circle know. That then led to tons of money flooding into Vegas on the odds of him going No. 1.

Levis’ odds went from as high as 50/1 at some sportsbooks to as low as 5/1 by the time many caught on this morning. The Reddit claim has actually led some books to remove their odds for the top pick for the time being.

This would be a rough look for them if this does turn out to be accurate considering the inside information at play here. Even so, there’s absolutely no basis to suggest that ‘SaleAgreeable2834’ is any the wiser than the rest of the experts or the public. We’ll just have to wait and see whether his potential scoop on Levis shocks everyone and comes true on Thursday night in Kansas City.

More on Levis’ fluctuating odds to go No. 1

The Carolina Panthers traded with the Chicago Bears to move into the top spot of this year’s NFL Draft. An army of Panther officials, including new head coach Frank Reich, attended Kentucky’s Pro Day to watch Levis throw in-person. However, it’s long been the belief Carolina will take Alabama’s Bryce Young with the No. 1 pick. Late money is telling a different story.

As Darren Rovell noted, the odds for Levis to be the top pick dropped from 50-1, to 20-1 to 10-1 overnight at PointsBet. On FanDuel you’ll find the Levis odds as low as 7-1. Caesars simply took the bet off the board. Bovada did the same, last posting Levis’ odds to go No. 1 at 35-1. DraftKings temporarily removed all of their top ten bets to re-evaluate their odds. The former UK quarterback is now 4-1 to go No. 1 overall.

What exactly does this mean? Sports Books are not in the business of losing money. They create odds to draw the most amount of money on both sides of the bet. That mitigates the risk for the book. A ton of late money must have come in on Will Levis with astronomical odds. So, to avoid losing out, they either lowered the number or took it off the board completely.

Will Levis has been the subject of late buzz surrounding the NFL Draft. Last week Levis overtook CJ Stroud as the top betting choice to be the No. 2 pick. Todd McShay reported on Monday that the Indianapolis Colts appear to be locked on drafting the former Kentucky quarterback.

The takes have been hot surrounding Will Levis throughout draft season. He’s becoming a hot commodity at the right time. Now there’s a chance he could be the highest Kentucky player picked since Tim Couch. He went No. 1 overall to Cleveland back in 1999 and spent five seasons with the Browns.
