Like he did many times during his NFL career, Tom Brady decided to have some fun at the expense of Peyton Manning. After the former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback shared he’s joined Instagram, Brady took to Twitter to roast his greatest competitive rival.

“I already had an Instagram, so I just unretired when I got bored,” tweeted Brady. “Welcome Peyton!”

While Manning is a newbie to Instagram, Brady has continued to build his popular brand on the application. The Buccaneers star quarterback has amassed 11.7 million followers on the app, and has made multiple important announcements using the medium.

Additionally, Brady continually shares movie-quality hype videos on his account. As you can see, Manning will have a lot to live up to if he can match Brady’s Instagram game.

In just a couple of days since making his account, Manning already has 159K followers. At the moment, he’s only following four people — including his brother Cooper and the NFL. You can see Peyton Manning’s Instagram savvy by giving ‘peytonmanning’ a follow.

More on Tom Brady and Peyton Manning

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are two of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. We thought that both would be retired next season, with Brady seemingly joining Manning in retirement. But shortly after Brady retired, he announced that he was coming back. Now, he has the opportunity to add to an already historically impressive resume as a quarterback in the NFL.

Over the course of their careers, Manning and Brady went head-to-head 17 times. 12 of those games were in the regular season, with Brady winning nine of them. The other five matchups were in the postseason, and Manning actually edged Brady 3-2 in those games.

Manning threw for 71,940 yards with 539 touchdowns and 251 interceptions in his career, winning five NFL MVP awards and two Super Bowls, with one Super Bowl MVP. Brady has thrown for 84,520 yards, 624 touchdowns and 203 interceptions, and those stats will only improve this season. The now Buccaneers quarterback has won seven Super Bowls and five Super Bowl MVPs, in addition to three NFL MVP awards.
