Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a message for the Chicago crowd following a late rushing touchdown Sunday. After celebrating with his teammates, Rodgers turned to the fans at Soldier field and bellowed “I still own you!”

The score put Green Bay up 24-14 with less than five minutes to play. They hung on to win, and the quarterback improved to 21-5 against the Bears in his career, including 10-3 on the road. Packers fans will certainly appreciate the response from Aaron Rodgers to the Chicago crowd, as the Bears are one of their biggest rivals.

The six-yard run was the third overall touchdown of the day for Rodgers. He completed a short pass to Allen Lazard in the second quarter and also connected with running back Aaron Jones for a 12-yard score.

Rodgers finished the day 17-of-23 for 195 yards passing and three total touchdowns. Green Bay now sits alone atop the AFC North standings with the 3-3 Bears in second.

The Packers are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, currently on a five-game winning streak. They managed to turn things around quickly following a 38-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 1 and currently sit at 5-1.

Rodgers claimed the league’s MVP award during his 2020 campaign after throwing for a career-high 48 touchdowns. So far this season he has 12 passing scores, so he has a long way to go to surpass last year. Still, he remains as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and makes the Packers one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl out of the NFC.

They certainly have stiff competition in defending champion Tampa Bay, as well as explosive offenses in Dallas and Arizona. The Los Angeles Rams also present a threat thanks to new quarterback Matthew Stafford.

A matchup against Washington now awaits the Packers next Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
