WATCH: Jamaal Williams fired up to play against ex-teammates on Packers
Former Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams was ready to play against his ex-teammates as the Detroit Lions came to play the Packers on Monday Night Football. Williams was seen chatting with his old quarterback Aaron Rodgers and cornerback Jaire Alexander before the game.

Williams still has love for his former team and teammates, speaking ahead of the game about how he might try a Lambeau Leap if he scores a touchdown in the game. He certainly was excited before the opening kickoff as video caught him chatting with Rodgers before taunting Alexander as he walked off the field.
“It’s that time Jaire!”
After being drafted by the Packers in 2017, Williams joined running back Aaron Jones in the Packers backfield to great success. In four years, he record 2,946 yards from scrimmage, 18 total touchdowns and zero fumbles.
Williams became known among fans for his huge personality, playing catch with fans before games and dancing on the field to his own music.
While a Lambeau Leap from Jamaal Williams had yet to be seen by halftime, his dancing tradition was still in effect before the game for Packers fans in attendance.
Williams friend Aaron Jones starts hot
As both Williams and Jones were drafted the same year in 2017, the pair became great friends as the backfield for the Packers. Their lockers were side by side, and they pushed each other to be great.
“We became brothers over that time,” Jones said about Williams via Packers.com. “He’s been there for me through a lot and just helped me develop as a player, helped me develop my game and pushed me. That’s something we would do every time we stepped on the field is try to push each other.”
While Williams may not be on his team anymore, he would have been happy with the start Jones had on Monday night.
From the four-yard line on their first drive of the game, the Packers dialed up a play to bring Jones in motion to receive the ball. Rodgers received the snap and immediately tossed the ball forward on a pass that was nearly a handoff.
With some good outside blocking by the Packers, Jones’ speed got him into the endzone from an outside rushing attempt. His work continued throughout the night and early in the fourth quarter Jones ran for a touchdown giving him four total on the night, three receiving touchdowns and one rushing.
