Former Oklahoma wide receiver and current Baltimore Raven Marquise “Hollywood” Brown made a highlight reel touchdown catch to put his team up 14-7 against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The 49-yard touchdown catch was Brown’s third of the season and 18th of his young NFL career.

As Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson dropped back on second-and-10, he saw his top receiver make a move on the outside corner. Jackson lofted the ball toward the endzone, forcing Brown to use his speed to catch up to the ball. Well over the heads of both responsible defensive backs, Brown laid out to full extension in order to pull the ball and slide through the endzone for a touchdown.

The play clearly impressed Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who was seen smiling and laughing with his assistants after the catch.

Earlier in the broadcast, the CBS crew revealed that the Baltimore Ravens spent the past week catching soccer balls in order to improve their hand strength and ensure they watched the ball into their hands properly. The early returns appear to be paying off after Brown’s big play.

Marquise Brown has two receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown midway through the second quarter.

Ravens’ record-setting kick

Former Texas kicker and NFL star Justin Tucker is no stranger to big moments or big kicks. He combined both last week with an NFL record-setting 66-yard kick to lift the Baltimore Ravens to a 19-16 win over the Detroit Lions at the buzzer.

After the Lions converted on a fourth-quarter touchdown followed by a field goal, the Ravens found themselves losing, 17-16, and they called on Tucker to make history on the final drive.

Tucker had missed one of four field goal attempts entering the fourth quarter, and the 66-yard attempt was two yards longer than Matt Prater’s previous record, a 64-yard boot.

“That one was something else,” Tucker told CBS’ A.J. Ross during his postgame interview. “I don’t really have the words to do justice to the moment.”

After thanking his teammates who set up the moment, Tucker continued: “All I can say is trust, trust God, trust this team. We’ve got something special. We’ve known that, we’ve been knowing that and I’m just so happy to be able to come through for my guys.”

With the record-setting kick, Justin Tucker also solidified himself as the most clutch kicker in NFL history. He now boasts a perfect 16-of-16 track record on field goals in the final minute of regulation.
