Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy has quite a wide range where he could be drafted as the NFL combine continues to unfold. After a stellar year with the Wolverines, he’s liable to go anywhere from third overall to all the way in the second round.

It’s all on the table for the former UM signal caller, who is in Indianapolis participating in the combine, unlike some of the other top QBs in the draft. As for where he’s currently mocked to go, well, it’s anyone’s guess. Just look at the betting odds for where he’s supposed to land. As you can see below, there are a couple of favorites with decent odds, but by no means is he overwhelmingly favored to go to any certain team.

The good folks over at DraftKings actually listed odds for McCarthy to be drafted by every single team in the NFL. Right here you can see the ones who were given a unique line, and further down, there’s the group of franchises who are all 100-1 long shots to pick him:

Well, those teams there in the caboose all pretty much have their quarterback situations figured out at the moment. Meanwhile, there was a group of teams between picks 10-16 that appear to be the most likely, in Vegas’ eyes, to select JJ Mccarthy.

The Vikings and Broncos are co-leaders after both employed aging quarterbacks, Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson, a year ago. Reports are that a split between Denver and Wilson is inevitable and coming soon, while McCarthy could perhaps slide in behind Cousins for a year or two with the Vikings if that’s ultimately his destination.

Either way, there’s much to be decided yet when it comes to JJ McCarthy in the NFL Draft. He could wow scouts over the next couple months to the point that he is considered an option at No. 3 for New England. Or, he could slide all the way down to round two with a poor draft process. We’ll just have to see.
