Training camp is nearly here and for the Baltimore Ravens, there are a few injuries to deal with heading into the season. Some of the team’s biggest stars will not be with them as multiple players were placed on the PUP list per a report.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, running backs JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards, cornerback Marcus Peters, linebacker Tyus Bowser, and safety Ar’Darius Washington are all physically unable to perform as training camp kicks off. Most of those names are expected to be major contributors for Baltimore this season and getting them back and fully healthy will be a top priority.

However, the most significant name might be Dobbins. Not because of his start status but because of his recent callout of Rapoport. After the insider reported the running back’s knee injury was a serious one and his Week 1 status might be in question, Dobbins decided to fire back. He said he might not even hit the PUP list on July 18 but four days later, he’s being placed there by the Ravens.

“Okay I’m tired of being quiet,” Dobbins said via Twitter. come to me for your source @RapSheet because I might not even go on PUP because that’s how good my rehab is going and I’m damn sure going to be ready for week 1.”

Dobbins was a second-round pick in 2020 out of Ohio State and has only made appearances as a rookie. He averaged six yards per carry, totaling 805 yards and nine touchdowns. For an offense that loves to run the ball such as Baltimore, seeing his knee get back to its normal self will be a significant development.

Elsewhere, injuries have been a huge problem for Stanley. He only appeared in one game season and the year before, six. Stanley was a first-team All-Pro during the 2019 season, playing left tackle and blocking for franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson. Progress is being made as the Baltimore Ravens hope to have one of the league’s best back on the field sooner rather than later.

Peters is another top-level player who missed the entire 2021 season due to injury. He tore his ACL in training camp leading up to last year but after being placed on the PUP list, still needs some time to recover. A consistent All-Pro caliber player, Peters will instantly give a jolt to Baltimore’s defense.
