The Denver Broncos announced Monday that quarterback Russell Wilson will be released from the team on March 13 ahead of the start of the new NFL league year. Parting ways with the veteran quarterback following just two seasons in Denver as he enters his 13th season in the NFL.

Many forecasted that Wilson would no longer be with the Broncos ahead of the 2024 season, trying to predict which team he’ll land on. But things have gotten real now that it’s been made official that Wilson will be wearing new threads and joining the third franchise of his NFL career.

DraftKings Sportsbook wasted no time following the Wilson news, releasing the betting odds on Wilson’s next destination. Check out the favorites and long shots to land Wilson early in the offseason below.

Odds for which team Russell Wilson will take first snap for in the 2024-2025 season

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (-200)
  • Las Vegas Raiders (+275)
  • Atlanta Falcons (+400)
  • New England Patriots (+750)
  • Minnesota Vikings (+1000)
  • Washington Commanders (+2000)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2000)
  • Tennessee Titans (+3000)
  • New York Giants (+3000)
  • Chicago Bears (+4000)

The Pittsburgh Steelers open up as the favorites to land Wilson this offseason, as the franchise has struggled to achieve consistency at the quarterback position following the retirement of two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger.

Pittsburgh drafted Kenny Pickett with the No. 20 overall pick of the 2022 draft. But after throwing for just 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in his 25 games for the Steelers and an ankle keeping him from finishing last season, it may be time for the Steelers to turn to a veteran QB.

Trailing behind the Steelers with the first plus-money odds to land Wilson on the list are the Las Vegas Raiders, who like Pittsburgh started three different quarterbacks last football season.

There’s no doubt that both franchises lacked consistency under center last year, but with the Raiders residing in the AFC West alongside the Broncos, Denver sending Wilson to a divisional rival seems a lot less likely.

Rounding out the top three teams to land Russell Wilson this offseason are the Atlanta Flacons with +400 odds, another franchise in desperate need of some improved play at the quarterback position. Atlanta has the No. 8 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, with some forecasting the Falcons selecting a quarterback with their first-round selection.

But with Wilson on the open market and other quarterbacks like Kirk Cousins and Justin Field potentially trailing behind him, Atlanta has several options between drafting a young prospect under center or adding a proven veteran to their roster this offseason.
