Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs made headlines this offseason after expressing his frustration with his role in the offense. Now he’s apparently rubbed at least one local reporter the wrong way.

As media members awaited the receiver to arrive at the podium at a recent press conference, video captured a conversation between a man and a woman off camera.

“There’s no control over Stefon Diggs,” the woman said. “Dude’s gonna do what he wants to do.”

“Not with you coming over there,” the man replied. “‘Stef, get your ass together.'”

“He’ll look in my face and say F-U,” she responded. “That’s how he treats everybody.”

There have been questions about whether Diggs is content in Buffalo ever since the Bills lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in a divisional round playoff game in January. The receiver was seen yelling at quarterback Josh Allen on the sidelines.

Diggs reportedly grabbed his things from the locker room after that game and left before coaches arrived. He then posted a few cryptic tweets postgame. Diggs originally tweeted, “Want me to be okay with losing? Nah,” followed by “Want me to be okay with our level of play when it’s not up to standard? Nah.”

Then in June, Diggs was a no-show at the Bills’ mandatory minicamp. That led to coach Sean McDermott saying he was “very concerned” about the receiver’s absence, followed by a flurry of reports that Diggs was unhappy. McDermott later cleared the air, coming back to say Diggs’ absence was excused and the two parties talked to resolve all issues.

Diggs was present at training camp and the relationship appeared to be mended to start the season. He caught 10 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown on Monday night against the Jets, but the Bills lost 22-16 in overtime as Allen committed four turnovers.

Things appear to be all good between Diggs and the Bills now, but these comments from the reporter are interesting to say the least.

Josh Allen says communication with Stefon Diggs is at an ‘all-time high’

Diggs has since cleared the air via social media, citing a family matter as a reason for his absence at minicamp and saying it is all now “water under the bridge”. And his quarterback Josh Allen recently appeared on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ and said there was never a worry that his favorite target wouldn’t be a Buffalo Bill this upcoming season.

“I think between me and him our communication’s an all-time high,” Allen said. “Just understanding some of our concepts better, making sure that we’re talking and having an open line of communication. He was just voted a captain today, I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that.”

Diggs was voted as a team captain for the Bills for his third connective season, something that McAfee expressed surprise and excitement about calling the achievement a big deal.

“I mean for everybody else, for us obviously there was no doubt,” Allen said. “The energy and the juice he’s had this training camp and as we’re going in the season, it’s at an all-time high.”
