Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics earned on huge honor on Tuesday, being named to the All-NBA first-team for the 2021-2022 season. Since being drafted third overall in 2017, this marks the second time Tatum has been placed on an All-NBA team but the first time he’s been first-team. A huge honor for one of the best players in the league.

To celebrate Tatum being named to the All-NBA team, Duke put together a highlight video to congratulate him on the accomplishment. Being one of the Blue Devils’ top former players in the NBA right now, they showcased some of Tatum’s best plays and stats from the season.

Tatum finished the season averaging 26.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.4 points per game. More importantly, he helped Boston secure the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference as they push for another NBA Championship. There’s been a clear leader for the franchise all season, as Tatum leads the team in scoring and is second in rebounding.

During his one season at Duke, Tatum was one of the top players in the country, let alone the ACC. He scored 16.8 points a night and added 7.3 rebounds per game. The Blue Devils were able to earn a No. 2 seed in the NCAA TOurnament before bowing out to South Carolina in the Round of 32.

Tatum is currently in the middle of another tournament run, still in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Game 5 of the series will take place on Wednesday night, with everything tied up at two games apiece. In his young career, Tatum has never made it to the NBA Finals and the Eastern Conference Finals have been the roadblock.

While making first-team All-NBA is a huge accomplishment, Tatum will want to push forward and win a championship.
