The Boston Celtics have released an update on the injury status and availability of Marcus Smart and Al Horford ahead of Game 2. According to their official report Horford is not confirmed to be out for Game 2 as he considered doubtful, while Smart is listed as probable. Forward Sam Hauser will also be out for Game 2 after missing last game as well with a shoulder injury.

The Celtics revealed that they would be without Hauser for the second straight game against Miami, with Horford’s status in doubt as of now. If Horford is unable to play, it will continue to put additional stress on their interior defense. Horford’s veteran presence was missed during Game 1 when the Celtics fell to Miami after a dominant third quarter led by Jimmy Butler.

Sam Hauser — OUT (Right Shoulder Instability Episode)
Al Horford — DOUBTFUL (Health & Safety Protocols)
Marcus Smart — PROBABLE (Right Mid-foot Sprain)
