Late in the third quarter of the Buffalo Bills game against the Miami Dolphins, Bills defensive back Tre’Davious White went down with what appeared to be a leg injury. He wasn’t able to walk off under his own power and was taken to the locker room on a cart.

The injury was a non-contact one and came while White was in coverage against Tyreek Hill. He turned to run with Hill before pulling up and going to the ground.

Tre’Davious White’s face was buried in a towel following the injury, apparently fearing the worst.

Buffalo has had an excellent afternoon, running away with a key AFC East game against the Miami Dolphins. However, this injury is going to put a major damper on things. The extent of the injury may not yet be known, but it was a scary moment that didn’t look good.

After being injured, Bills players circled up around Tre’Davious White on the field, showing their love for their injured teammate.

It was later reported by the game’s broadcast that he was being evaluated for an Achilles. He is currently receiving an MRI. No results were in, but it appeared that things weren’t good for White.

Tre’Davious White was a first round pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU. During his time in the NFL, he’s become one of the game’s great defensive backs. That includes two Pro Bowl appearances and being named a First-Team All-Pro player in 2019. That season, he also led the NFL in interceptions.

Unfortunately, in recent seasons, injuries have started to have a negative impact on White’s career. In 2020, he missed time with a back injury. Then, in 2021, he tore his ACL and wasn’t able to return until late November of 2022.

Buffalo hopes to make a deep playoff run in 2023. However, the Bills may be without one of their best defensive players moving forward.

Von Miller could be returning to the Bills soon

Star edge rusher Von Miller tore his ACL last Thanksgiving and hasn’t been back since then. Luckily, that may change soon for the Buffalo Bills. That’s because, per reports, he’s set to come off the PUP list this week. That means he’ll be returning to practice.

Once a player comes off the PUP list, the team has three weeks to decide what to do with them going forward. That means, he may not be immediately on the 53-man roster for Buffalo, but could be soon.

Ultimately, the Bills want to be careful with Von Miller and will likely give him all the time he needs to get healthy.
