Charlotte Motor Speedway loves what Dale Earnhardt Jr. had to say about the fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch. The race track, which is hosting the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter), that shows a cement truck backing into the entrance. It appears that Charlotte Motor Speedway could be getting ready to cement the tunnels so no drivers can leave the track.

“When Earnhardt] talks, we listen,” Charlotte Motor Speedway wrote in the post. This is about what Earnhardt said right after Stenhouse and Busch got into a fight after the NASCAR All-Star Race on Sunday night.

“Cement up all the tunnels at these tracks,” Earnhardt wrote. The All-Star Race took place at North Wikesboro Speedway, and Stenhouse’s car was wrecked after Busch bumped him. Because of the way North Wilkesboro is set up, Stenhouse couldn’t leave the track, which ultimately led to him confronting Buch and fighting him. Stenhouse was fined $75,000 for the fight, while Busch was not punished.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. speaks out on punishment for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch

On Wednesday, Earnhardt shared his thoughts on the punishment during a bonus episode of Dale Jr. Download. “I think [$25,000] would have been a good penalty for Stenhouse,” Earnhardt said. “On the other side, you got Kyle Busch that we know he wrecked him on purpose and he gets nothing. I’m fine with him getting nothing if Ricky’s side was a little more reasonable. For Ricky’s side to be this big mountain of a penalty and Kyle’s to be nothing was a little surprising.

“We’ve seen other guys intentionally wreck and be in trouble. There’s different reasons and variables. Kyle’s intentional wreck was a corner or two later under green flag conditions. He didn’t go wipe him out under caution. But we have seen some people sit out races for right-hooking people at Charlotte with Chase Elliott and so forth. …I was just a little surprised, I didn’t think Kyle should be suspended. I didn’t think anything about what Kyle did until you see the big fine that Ricky gets and you’re like, ‘Oh wow, that much for Ricky and nothing for Kyle.’ Just a little surprising.”

It’s likely Stenhouse and Busch want to move on from the fight and focus on doing well at one of the biggest races of the year. When it comes to the NASCAR Cup Series standings, Busch is in 13th place while Stenhouse is 26th.
