Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal is hoping to score an invite to Taylor Swift’s suite on Sunday at Super Bowl LVIII as he cheers on her beau at Allegiant Stadium. Chatting with TMZ Sports this week, O’Neal said he’s cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the San Francisco 49ers and that Travis Kelce is “his boy.”

“Hey, Taylor! Love you!” he told TMZ. “And I hope I’m sitting in a suite next to Taylor Swift.”

The former Laker is hosting a music festival with Lil’ Wayne and Diplo, called ‘Shaq’s Fun House,’ at XS Nightclub, which is part of the luxury resort and casino, Wynn Las Vegas. The big event is two days before Super Bowl Sunday, on February 9.

Swift won’t be in attendance at Shaq’s big blowout because she has a show in Tokyo, Japan this weekend. She will perform four concerts at the Tokyo Dome — Feb. 7-10. Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas, so Swift can get to Allegiant Stadium in the nick of time.

Christian McCaffrey’s mother boycotts Swift

Some San Francisco 49ers are making a big adjustment to their listening habits this week, including Christian McCaffrey‘s mother Lisa. Lisa McCaffrey, who admitted this week that she has Taylor Swift songs on her running playlist, told listeners on a podcast that she is boycotting the singer until after the 49ers play the Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday. She went so far as to say that the multi-platinum artist is “dead to us,” as long as she and her boyfriend Travis Kelce are in direct competition with her son.

Speaking on McCaffrey’s fiancée Olivia Culpo’s podcast, Lisa said, “I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days.”

“I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs,” she added on ‘Your Mom.’ “If she pops up on the radio station… nope. She’s dead to us this week.”
