WATCH: Christian Watson catches 58-yard touchdown, shows off athleticism with celebration
Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson has certainly had an up-and-down debut season in the National Football League. On Sunday, he had one of his best plays yet against the Dallas Cowboys. Check it out as he hauls in a 58-yard touchdown strike from Aaron Rodgers, leaving his defender on the ground as he raced his way to paydirt. Then, once he scored the touchdown, Watson did a standing backflip in the end zone, showing off some pretty impressive athleticism.

He’s been dealing with a hamstring issue and more recently had to deal with a concussion, but clearly the former North Dakota State product looks to finally be back and operating at full speed.
Green Bay traded up to select Watson with the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft this offseason. He’s been one of the many receivers the Packers hoped would step this season following the departure of five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Packers also drafted former Nevada Wolfpack wide receiver Romeo Doubs in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Christian Watson North Dakota State stats
As a freshman at North Dakota State in 2018, Watson caught nine passes for 165 yards. He then had 34 receptions for 732 yards and six touchdowns in 2019, adding 13 rushes for 162 yards and another touchdown. In 2020, he had 19 catches for 442 yards and a touchdown with 21 rushes for 116 yards. This past season, Watson totaled 43 receptions for 800 yards and seven touchdowns, also rushing for 114 yards and another score.
Watson returned 27 kicks for 686 yards and two touchdowns in his collegiate career, averaging 25.4 yards per return. He played his high school football at the powerhouse program of Plant High School (Tampa Bay, Florida).
