The Christian Watson breakout game has officially arrived, ladies and gents. The former North Dakota State star went absolutely bananas on Sunday–hauling in over 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys. He even snagged a touchdown catch to tie the game up at 28-28 late in the fourth quarter.

Check it out as he snagged his third touchdown catch.

Watson became the first Packers rookie with 100 receiving yards and three touchdown catches in a game since James Lofton did it in 1978, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Green Bay ended up defeating Dallas in a classic–31-28 in overtime. It was one of the best games of the 2022-2023 NFL season thus far.

He’s been dealing with a hamstring issue and more recently had to deal with a concussion, but clearly the former North Dakota State product looks to finally be back and operating at full speed. Watson even left the Cowboys game for a few plays on Sunday after he was dealing with an ankle injury but appeared to be fine and came back into the game a few minutes later.

Green Bay traded up to select Watson with the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft this offseason. He’s been one of the many receivers the Packers hoped would step this season following the departure of five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Packers also drafted former Nevada Wolfpack wide receiver Romeo Doubs in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
