With action in the Round of 32 wrapping up on Sunday, the Sweet 16 for the NCAA Tournament is nearly set. Two regions already have both of their two matchups, including the West Regional with one game between No. 1 North Carolina and No. 4 Alabama and the other being between No. 6 Clemson vs. No. 2 Arizona.

The Wildcats (27-8) advanced from out of Salt Lake City with a 20-point win over No. 15 Long Beach State and a 10-point win over No. 7 Dayton. Offense led the way as they shot 47.3% from the field and 40.8% from three in the pair of wins. With that firepower, multiple players scored in double figures for them. Now, in their second Sweet 16 in three years, they’ll be playing for their first Elite Eight spot since 2015.

The Tigers (23-11) earned their spot out of Memphis following a 21-point blowout of No. 11 New Mexico after hanging on to win by a score of 72-64 over No. 3 Baylor. They handled a highly-regarded team in the Lobos before then finding a way to close out the Bears. That earned them their first Sweet 16 berth since 2018 and gives them their chance at their second-ever Elite Eight.

Here’s how the game is being viewed very early on ahead of tip-off on Thursday night from Hollywood.

Final score predictions for Clemson vs. Arizona

KenPom Predicted final score: Arizona 79, Clemson 74
KenPom Win probability (for Arizona): 70%

KenPom is leaning toward the Wildcats in their prediction for this contest. It has Arizona moving on to the Elite Eight with a five-point victory at a likelihood of 70%.

Few other predictions have come out for this game yet considering the Tigers just won earlier on Sunday evening. Still, based on KenPom’s guess, their outcome would be a cover for Clemson based on the current spread. It would also be a slight over on the present total.
