Conor McGregor is one of the wildest and most dangerous men on planet Earth. While his prime days in the UFC arena are far behind him, you simply don’t rise to superstardom the way he did in the octagon without having a few screws loose. McGregor recently got into a stare down contest with an alligator. The alligator wanted no part to do with the UFC legend and disappeared in the water.

This is a pretty wild video. He gets within a fairly close proximity of the gator.

McGregor was a terrifying fighter during his prime. He’s definitely lost some of his appeal as a fighter in the past few years. In MMA, he amassed a total record of 22-6, with six of those decisions coming by knockout. Since 2016, he’s lost three of his last four fights.

He will face Michael Chandler sometime in 2023. Both men are coaching in the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter. A win could bring McGregor back to the top.

McGregor talks about his fight with Michael Chandler

In his much anticipated return to the octagon, McGregor broke down how he’ll defeat Chandler.

“I think I’m just going to slice through him,” McGregor said, via The Mac Life. “I think I’m a little too slicy for him than anyone else he’s fought. A little too snappy and whippy. I think I’ll slice through him.”

There are no hard feelings between McGregor and Chandler, despite the latter vying for a fight with the Irishman over the last calendar year.

“I like Michael, we’re blokes,” McGregor said. “I posed with him yesterday. I’ve got no issues with him at all. I think he’s a good fighter. Coaching against him, I’m interested to see his coaching style. He’s more of an athlete type of a guy than a technical martial artist. I know he’s got some skills in the wrestling department, and he’s got some skills overall.

“But as far as the small, finer details, I’m interested to see. I’m happy where I’m at. It will be an interesting one to go against him [on the show] before I go against him [in the fight].”

He became the UFC featherweight and lightweight champion in 2015. McGregor put together an impressive 18 fight win streak to claim the title belts. He was the first UFC fighter to hold two UFC Championships in two weight classes simultaneously.

Sportico recently came out with a list of the top 50 highest paid athletes of all-time. The 34-year old fighter ranked 33rd all-time with $530 million. When he fought in a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in 2017, McGregor made about $100 million. It catapulted his celebrity status to superstardom across the globe.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, McGregor paid for homes for several homeless families in Dublin, Ireland. He also paid for $1.4 million of protective equipment for medics across Ireland.
