Tyler-Biadasz

The injury news for the Dallas Cowboys continues to pile on. Soon after the news of All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs tearing his ACL was confirmed, there is another problem on the offensive line. While not as significant as Diggs, it’s something Dallas will be monitoring.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cowboys center Tyler Biadasz suffered a hamstring injury during practice. He will undergo an MRI, where a final determination will be made. Thankfully for the folks in Dallas, Schefter’s report does provide positive news.

“Cowboys’ Pro-Bowl center Tyler Biadasz hurt his hamstring during today’s practice and is undergoing an MRI to determine the extent of the injury, per source,” Schefter said.

“Another source said, ‘Tyler will be OK.’”

In the Thursday injury report provided by the Cowboys, Biadasz was considered limited. He is one of three offensive linemen Dallas has dealing with injuries.

Zack Martin has an ankle injury, suffered during Sunday’s win over the New York Jets. While he did not practice, there is hope he is going to play against the Arizona Cardinals. And then left guard Tyler Smith has yet to step onto the field this season but was a full participant on Thursday.

Hopefully, the MRI on Biadasz comes back with positive news as well. Dallas cannot afford another injury right now, even if Arizona has not been great through two weeks. There are bigger goals for the franchise than beginning the season with a 3-0 record.

Tyler Biadasz key part of Dallas Cowboys offensive line

Biadasz was a fourth-round pick back in 2020, being the latest Wisconsin center Dallas has taken in recent history. While he might be at the level of Travis Fredricks quite yet, Biadasz has been a key part of the offensive line since taking over as the full-time starter.

Four games during his rookie season resulted in Biadasz being one of the first offensive lineman out on the field. However, he fully took over at the beginning of 2021 and has not looked back ever since. In 25 games played, all 25 have resulted in him snapping the ball to Dak Prescott (or Cooper Rush for a short period of time). The only game missed was the 2022 Week 18 loss against the Washington Commanders.

Dallas has yet to have their entire starting offensive line healthy through two games this season. Hopefully, Biadasz’s hamstring issue does not delay it even further.
