The Dallas Cowboys‘ upset at the hands of the Green Bay Packers has led to uproar and drama. The drama also extended to the sidelines amid the team’s 48-32 defeat at AT&T Stadium as one Cowboys cheerleader described this week. Despite leading Dallas for the entire game, Packers players allegedly disrespected their opponents’ cheerleaders nearly to the point of making them cry last Sunday.

“I have never experienced such disrespect from the other teams’ players to the cheerleaders in my five years as an NFL cheerleader,” Cowboys cheerleader Darian Lassiter shared on TikTok this week.

“We would be minding our own business and the Packers would score a touchdown, and they would come up to us — standing on the sidelines, minding our own business, and start yelling at us.”

Fellow Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Jensen Lynn defended her teammate, adding in the comments, “Literally was on the verge of tears.”

Lassiter, who shared that she has spent seven years as a dancer for a professional sports team, also revealed on TikTok that this is her final season as an NFL cheerleader. Her father, Kwamie Lassiter, played in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals, and her brother, Kwamie II, is a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Playing in your home stadium during the playoffs is supposed to provide a significant advantage, but it had no bearing on the wild card round game against the Packers. Jordan Love poured on the points and snapped the Cowboys’ 16-game home winning streak.

Packers fall to 49ers

After their alleged disrespect toward the Cowboys cheerleaders, the Green Bay Packers moved on to a divisional-round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Despite keeping it close all game long, the dagger for the Packers came on a final-minute interception from Jordan Love to linebacker Dre Greenlaw.

The 49ers knocked Green Bay out with a 24-21 final score to move ahead to the conference championship game next week. San Franscisco’s last drive was as high-stakes of a moment as quarterback Brock Purdy has experienced so far in his career.

“We were all like, ‘All right, this is it. This is our season.’ … And for all of us, and obviously for myself as a quarterback, it’s good for confidence and all that,” Purdy said post-game. “But we have too many good players on this team, so many players that are difference-makers and we’ve got a great defense. For us to not find a way, it’s not right. For us to finally have a game like this and pull through at the end was huge for all of us.”
