Dallas Cowboys free agent wide receiver Noah Brown will ink a one-year deal this week that will move the former Ohio State Buckeye to the Houston Texans for 2023. NFL Network’s Jane Slater confirmed the deal with Brown on Tuesday.

Brown finished third on the Cowboys in receiving yards this season but now, he’s headed down south.

Brown, a former seventh-round draft pick, posted a career-high 43 receptions for 555 yards and three touchdowns. He’s going into his seventh year in the NFL in 2023 and he spent all the previous six with the Cowboys. He was on the PUP list in 2019.

He had just 425 yards in his first four years. However, he became a go-to guy for Dallas after the departure of Amari Cooper last offseason.

After the draft in 2017, Brown played on a four-year, $2.47 million rookie deal. He signed contract extensions in 2021 and 2022, adding $1.12 million and $1.18 million for those two seasons.

In his final season with Ohio State, Brown had a 32-catch, 402-yard season. He also posted seven touchdowns. It was enough to get the Cowboys’ attention and they scooped him up with their second-to-last selection in 2017.
