The Dallas Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders without left guard Tyler Smith this week after the starter tore his plantar fascia last week. The news broke with a few hours to go before kickoff on Sunday at FedEx Field.

The Cowboys were able to start the best five on the offensive line last week against the Lions despite veteran Tyron Smith’s back injury leading up to the game. Smith recovered in time to make the start alongside Tyler Smith, Tyler Biadasz, Zack Martin and Terence Steele, though the left guard’s foot injury caused them to make a change in the third quarter.

Now, without the former first-rounder, the Cowboys will start rookie T.J. Bass at left guard alongside Tyron Smith. It’s something to watch as Dallas attempts to keep Dak Prescott clean against the Commanders defensive line. Right guard Zack Martin is also inactive for the game due to an illness.

A win against the Commanders on Sunday clinches the NFC East for the Cowboys. Dallas hasn’t won the division since 2021. The Eagles are hoping for a Cowboys loss. If Philadelphia beats the Giants, they need their divisional rivals to lose to take the title.

Here’s who’s in and who’s out for the Cowboys-Commanders game on Sunday. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. ET from FedEx Field.
