The Dallas Cowboys have their scouts checking out the top prospects at the Senior Bowl this week in Mobile, Alabama, including national championship-winning running back Kenny McIntosh. McIntosh has met with 16 teams so far, but called his meeting with the Cowboys the “most memorable” so far, according to Ethan Hurwitz.

McIntosh’s Senior Bowl week got off to a rocky start on Tuesday, however. He went down on the field and required assistance from trainers. Luckily, he just had a cramp. The injury kept him off the field for the rest of the practice but he told reporters on Wednesday that he is “completely fine.”

Dallas has had productive scouting trips at the Senior Bowl for some time. In the 2022 draft, they drafted six players who participated in the game last year.

Although the Cowboys already have a former first-round running back in Ezekiel Elliott and a very solid No. 2 with Tony Pollard, the latter is entering free agency in a couple of months.

After posting 829 rushing yards and 504 receiving yards on his way to the national championship, plenty of teams are showing interest in the former Georgia Bulldog. McIntosh is currently the No. 7 running back on ESPN’s best-available board for this year’s draft.

McIntosh to boost stock at Senior Bowl

After three seasons as a reserve running back for the Bulldogs, McIntosh established himself as Georgia’s number-one back this season. He led them in carries, rushing yards, and touchdowns, while also making an impact out of the backfield.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay believes that McIntosh has a unique opportunity to boost his stock this week.

“He has a really compact low-to-the-ground running style, and he’s shifty at 6-1 and 210 pounds, showcasing an ability to string together cuts,” McShay said. “McIntosh ran 150 times this season for 829 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he also has reliable hands and a smooth upfield transition after the catch in the receiving game (43 catches for 504 yards). It’s a deep running back class, but a good showing here could bump McIntosh up team boards.”

McIntosh definitely will have to compete with a strong running back class, headlined by names like Bijan RobinsonJahmyr Gibbs, and Zach Charbonnet. But he does bring a unique combination of freshness with only 280 career careers in his career and versatility as he’s showcased the ability to be a threat in the rushing, passing, and return game throughout his career.

He also has pedigree on his side, as the Bulldogs have consistently produced running back talent over the years with names like James CookD’Andre SwiftNick Chubb, and Sony Michel.
