The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly host the New Orleans Saints for their home opener in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. As more and more leaks come out leading up to the full schedule release on Wednesday night, Cowboys fans are getting a better picture of how things could shake out this year.

After traveling to face the Browns in Week 1, Dallas will host the Saints for a noon kickoff at AT&T Stadium in Week 2 on Sept. 15, according to Saints reporter John Hendrix. Like their Week 1 matchup, the game is slated for broadcast on FOX. The Cowboys are 3-2 against the Saints in their last five matchups in this decade, including a win in 2021.

Though fans won’t know for sure until the schedule release show on NFL Network on Wednesday night, quite a few holes have been filled in on the schedule already. The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly host the New York Giants this year for the traditional Thanksgiving Day game at AT&T Stadium. Dallas, the winner of their last two Thanksgiving Day matchups, last played the Giants for the holiday game in 2022 and won 28-20.

Weeks before the Thanksgiving game, the Cowboys will reportedly travel to face the Giants in Week 4. After that, they’ll have a Sunday Night Football game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then, in Week 8, Dallas gets another Sunday Night Football matchup – this time against the San Francisco 49ers, their NFC rivals.

Another major primetime matchup is reportedly scheduled for Week 11 on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys are slated to host the Houston Texans in a battle for dominance in the Lone Star State.

Dallas opens 2024 season versus Cleveland

The Dallas Cowboys learned this week that they’ll open the 2024 season with a road game against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns, who went 11-6 last season, also took a first-round loss in the playoffs, losing to the Houston Texans 45-14 without star quarterback Deshaun Watson. In the offseason, Cleveland acquired former Broncos first-rounder Jerry Jeudy to give Watson some extra firepower for 2024.

Broadcasting the game in his debut for Fox Sports will be NFL legend Tom Brady. Brady shared the news during an announcement on Monday night.

“Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw,” Brady said. “As America’s Team, that’s gonna get a little hard for me to say that all the time, understanding that they were the competition for a long time. But in this new role, I know how important the Cowboys are to this network.”

“They got great storylines. Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through, Micah Parsons, what a great player he is, and Coach [Mike] McCarthy,” he added. “I love covering them, I’ve been obviously going against them for a long time and now I get to tell everyone how great they are.”
